My Reflections
As I walk in the glimmer of incipient light,
My mind delves in the shadow of perpetual night.
I sustain my course on an endless path,
Where I may be next to face their ignorant wrath.
As I enter the dimension of injustly death
I sense the suffering souls who took their last breath
Haditha, Qana, Fallujah, Jenin,
And that 14 year old girl-raped and burned- I hear her scream
I walk free yet entrapped with emotion,
Like a homeless crack addict desperate for his magic potion.
I often look to the sky and beg for divine intervention,
Yet time and time again, I receive no attention.
As I walk in the glimmer of incipient light,
My mind delves in the shadow of perpetual night.
I sustain my course on an endless path,
Where i may be next to face their ignorant wrath.
The media portray us like savage barbarians,
While they sit atop the world like Hitler's Aryans.
Embedded journalists controlled by ventriloquists,
Even worse are those cowardly Muslim apologists.
The blood in my veins changes colour when exposed,
Akin to the light that emanates when the truth is disclosed.
Indigenous heathens, Russian commies, and Latino fanatics,
Now we're the enemy, fulfilling their lust for dramatics.
As I walk in the glimmer of incipient light,
My mind delves in the shadow of perpetual night.
I sustain my course on an endless path,
Where i may be next to face their ignorant wrath.
Vulnerable yet willing, I walk in defiance
Disgusted and sick at the world's robotic compliance
Unjust wars, racism, and illegal detention,
History repeats - distorting reality is their primary intention.
I feel them penetrate my thoughts convicting me of sin,
Like a phosphorus bomb burning and melting my skin.
I will continue to walk on the path of uncertainty,
Until I reach my eventual destiny.
As I walk in the glimmer of incipient light,
My mind delves in the shadow of perpetual night.
I sustain my course on an endless path,
Where I may be next to face their ignorant wrath.
